I get my batteries from Costco.
Their tyre department keeps a big selection and they have a table which shows compatible batteries.
Go for beefiest one you can afford!

had a newun recently for me classic from the one of the auto elec places on the mariner industrial in Tamoth.
Done the job a treat for me.
Just a straight replacement for what was on, nothing fancy and around 50 notes. and ya should get a tenner for yer old un at a decent recyclers.

Halfords want about £90 for own brand and Kwik Fit do Unipart for about £120 so I will probably go elsewhere!

ah well spotted - ere Mr OP go to Wrekin Farmers which is an argicultural suppliers next to Focus in Newport and buy the biggest battery that'll fit - it's be designed fer use in a tractor but it'll be a fraction of what you've been quoted
you may need to wipe yer feet as you come out of the place thou
