NEARSIDE DOOR MIRROR

My 2012 freelander when in reverse the door mirror is supposed to auto adjust to the memory, it does not.
I have tried resetting the memory that didnt work and i ave disconnected the battery for 1hour and that hasnt worked, it still wanders about all over the place, whats the cure , help please any ideas would be welcome.

The auto mirror control is in a settings menu somewhere, I'm sure it can be turned on or off IIRC. Fortunately my FL2 is just an SE, so I don't have that useless and annoying feature.

I've not driven it with it working correctly (misfire, see my thread), but in the 103 miles I've driven it, it's miles better that the FL1. Its in a completely different league by comparison. I'd avoid lower spec models though, which is why I waited for a good condition (misfire excepted) SE. It did over 40 Mpg on the drive home, with it spluttering along at 50, which I think is pretty good for the size and weight of it.
