Do any of you have any experience with the Nanocom or the Bearmach diagnostic kit?

I have a D2 TD5 and often get the dash board turning into Xmas tree lights (well ok the ABS, Traction control & the Hill descent lights).

I've taken it into the garage each time and it's turned out to be a fault code, with no mechanical problems and they just clear it.
However it just keeps happening, I am fed up of taking it to the garage each time and getting charged for them to only "press the reset button"

Will the above units be worth getting to "clear the fault" myself, obviously after I have checked the vehicle over first just to make sure.

I must admit this is the only thing I don't like about my Disco, other than that I find it a fantastic piece of kit.

Any suggestions, advice, or taking of the **** will be most welcome :D

wouldn't it be better to fix the fault rather than just buy you own kit to clear the "fault" code?

Fanatic has actually pointed me in the right direction.

However I do now think I could have worded it a little better.

You're absolutely right fixing the fault is more important than just clearing the the fault code. Reading the threads about the "three Amigos" has cleared up a few things.

I must admit id like to get one also. I would of thought it would be a good bit of kit to have in the toolbox. Must be handy to check/faults, clear codes etc. I think you can also download and install a remap through those as well.

:) I guess the first reason you want Nanocom is to read the code so you can fix the fault, and then secondly to clear the fault code...makes sense:)
See, if you had a 300TDI the only kit you need to read and clear your abs fault codes is a paper clip!
