heyup, got a question from a coleague, his disco wont start properly. it will if its bumped

its diesel. will it be heater plugs. i dont even know what engine it is!:D:D

he says its not too clever turning over either! could it be battery?
 
don't buy a battery yet

using a black (it has to be the black one) jump start lead clamp one end on the battery zero volts terminal the other to a chassis part as close to the starter as possible

then try starting - if it spins faster and then starts ok it'll just be a bad earth
 
after talking further to him, battery is 6 mths old so should be good, i told him to try jumping it see if that made any difference, told hime to checkout the earth connections and see what happens!
