N/A air filter and cannister on a 300tdi ???

Will the 2.5 N/A air filter ,cannister flow enough air for a 300tdi engine ?or is it too restrictive ???
Could a better hi air flow K and N performance type filter be fitted inside the can ?
Also how many wires are connected to a 300 tdi alternator ? I am missing my ign,charging warning lamp.
Other than that my conversion is close to Its MOT .

I use the n/a filter and canister on my 300tdi converted 90. I haven’t had any issues and it seems to pull well enough......
I doubt it’s any worse than any of the other offerings and before it was fitted, I used a cone filter off eBay (like chavs use) as a temporary measure until I sorted the na canister for its new location. There was no noticeable difference between the 2 filters.

Stick with the N/A filter,they are way better at actualy filtering the air than the cone types.
