Mystery wiring

I have a 2002 MK3 Range Rover 4.4HSE.

There is some wiring in the cubby hole at the right hand side of the rear load space, which I assumed was for a satnav computer.

I have been assured by my local dealer that no satnav wiring exists only in the Vogue.

There is a black connector with 3 terminals, a black coaxial cable with a screw on connector and a very thin wire with a small push-on connector of some kind.

Any ideas guys

The nav is fitted in the left cubby hole in the boot so it's not for that.

All "new" rangies have some spare wiring in the back, all depends on spec.

Can you take a photo of the connectors?? Pictures always help!!

Does the small connector with the thin wire look like this?

That connector is used by lots of GPS antennas...

hmmm, well I tried mailing you to try and get the pics maybe my mail didnt get through??

Anyway, the first picture looks very much like a FME connector - these are typically mobile phone antennas that have these.

Second picture I have no idea im afraid, it looks maybe like some kind of power connector??

Third picture I would say definitely looks like an MCX connector in some sort of large connector, these are generally used in GPS antennas.

Forth and fifth picture I have no idea but at a guess, the fourth picture looks again like some kind of antenna connector and the fifth just looks like a large multiplug to an ECU.

It would probably be best if you went and asked over at Rangerovers.net and posted these pics in the MKIII forum. The guys there will be able to help you out im sure
