My horn sounds when I select neutral?????

Recently my Discovery Td5 auto has started having issues with the transmission. firstly selecting reverse brings up the flashing MS. This clears as soon as you turn off the ignition and restart the engine. This happens to be intermittent. Secondly my horns sounds continuously when Neutral is selected.

I have put the hawkeye Total on it to read the fault codes for the flashing MS, which I believe is down to a degrading XYZ switch which is only 3 years old. I have noticed the rear wiper doesn't wipe automatically when reverse is selected also. My horn only started sounding in Neutral after I had connected the Hawkeye. Is it possible I have activated some meaningless and annoying option whilst I was connected????
