My First landrover

I finally made a start on the discovery 300tdi i bought recently. Its my first landrover and here`s a list of stuff i`ve done so far this week !!! ....

New timing belt kit
Replaced `p` gasket
New waterpump
Removed and blanked egr valve
New lift pump
New oil pressure switch
Fitted an oil pressure gauge
Changed oil and all filters
Replaced drivers side window regulator

Hoping that will give me a bit of trouble free motoring... for a little while i hope !!!
Biggest problem i encountered, was the long water pump bolts sheared off ... all 3 ffs !! access wasnt bad as i was going to do the `p` gasket anyway.
The bolts sheared off about 3 threads into the hole, so i had to drill and re-tap.
I did the tweak on the fuel pump yesterday.. and i have to say im impressed, thus far.
Suspension to do next week !!!!!!!!!!!!

Its been a learning curve, but there is so much information on here, i found it almost fool proof !?!

can agree that the 300tdi responds well to a pump fettle, maybe think about an intercooler upgrade

argh sooo jealous you have started on your beast, and it seems you have had a busy and rewarding time getting it on the road. im currently scouling the internet for my project. thats asome great prgress be good to see some pics when ya done ya suspension
