Ive been wanting to make my own centre dash console for a while, but am struggling to really find the time and theres so much else to do first. So am wondering whether a MUDstuff centre console might be a good enough option.
Have a couple of questions though for anyone who has fitted one.
What are the measurements of the centre recess bit for mounting stuff? Am trying to plan what Id put where, but MUD dont show the dimensions.
When its fitted, does the centre recess sit vertically, or slightly tilted downward? Have seen lots of pictures online, but cant really get a good idea of it from a drivers perspective.
How much clearance is there behind it, i.e. from behind the recessed bit to the plastic trim that runs across the top of the landy shelf thing?
The installation pictures show that you have to cut out a huge part of the shelf, which Im kind of begrudged to do. Is this still necessary if I dont mount a radio in the bottom half? Is there another reason for the cut out?
