Mud-terrain tyre, comments on my choice please

I wanted an MT tyre sized 255/65/16 but they seem hard to come by and wanted to keep stock sizes so hence choice. I also do some motorway driving and do not want retreads.

I bought a used set of General Grabber ATs and took them offroading last weekend and came back with two slow punctures...so I don't want AT tyres and definitely not General. Repair place fixed the first one, but apparently the second needs to be vulcanised? They said they can fix it but can't guarantee how long it will hold. I have a suspicion the bloke sold me it like this, but I am not certain and either way couldn't prove anything.

What are your comments, advice or things I should think about before parting with my money?

Well it just goes to show how subjective tyre appraisal is; I drove a works D2 with Khumo MT's on and I thought they were absolutely crâp in the mud ! Fine on-road though.

For me nothing comes close to the all round ability of BFG muds.
