aye i wanna go off road but not essesive etc more like green-laning etc and will go out in snow with chains if i get them later towing caravan too mud will cause vibration on tarmac at 60mph???

my brother-in-law put mud terrain on his disco, an his caravan-disco was REALLY unstable when towing.
might be different for your outfit though?
he's got a 21 foot eldis, but as soon as he changed to a/t on the back the problem stopped.

Decent AT's are a good compromise, not too noisy onroad (noisy tyres will also reduce your MPG), but seem to have decent grip in most conditions - my offroad forays are limited to greenlanes, and lots of snow in winter in northern Scotland.

BFG AT's have been fantastic allrounders, and still going strong after 50k miles. I paid £98/corner fitted & balanced, but the extra cost has been more than worth it.

Had my 1st puncture on these tyres last week, and the local dealer tubed it (the hole was too close to the tyre-wall for a normal kwik-fit-type repair).
