Moving gear lever

I have just fitted a mud centre dash unit and have found that when engaging 3rd and 5th gear i keep knocking the sterio with my knuckles. I was going to look into altering the gear lever by bending it slightly but someone said that it can be rotated round on its splines to change its position. Does anyone know if this is so and what is involved. It is an LT77 box.

Just heat it up and bend it to wherever you want it. Its easy enough.

Easier to undo the nut n bolt, lift it clear of the splines, and reset it in a better position. piece o **** bout 5min job

had same problem with a rapter dash. and i dont have fingers on that hand so this is not an option, i went for bending as at the time didnt know lever could be rotated on the splines

Did it this weekend. 5 minute job and much easier to change gear now. Many thanks for the advice.
