My 110 came with 4 265/75/r16s on Land Rover alloys and a steel wheel as a spare bolted to the rear door.
Just got a spare alloy delivered off ebay for £11 so getting a new tyre fitted later today.
I just put the ebay alloy on the back door with the naff tyre and the studs are short and even if longer the steel nuts would not secure it.
If I take the door card off I made be able to tweek it a little to extend the studs but I am not hopeful.
Do I need special studs, nuts/bolts to mount an alloy on the rear door?
Its a big heavy fooker...... do you think a swingaway would be a better option? Cheers :)

Not likely, the studs are welded to a oblong backplace which passes through holes in the door skin and is sandwiched with another plate. The later ones must have longer studs.

Yes to the swingaway, I got one because my door was already cracking up

Looking at it again.... a swingaway looks a sensible option. Will have a search later for a decent one... will need a 'blank' plate and remove the studded spare wheel holder? Or just grind the fookers off?
Thanks for that gents:)

Landyman of Wiltshire has ground off the bolts on his, prior to the respray. You can't see the door behind the swing-away carrier anyway.

I've just removed my rear door carrier as the door was looking a bit ropey - I cut a square of aluminium and bolted it in place of the original - it's only for the short term, as when I come to repaint my Landy, I'll fill the holes, smooth them over, and paint.
