Finally got the safari snorkel on, buy only dry fixed.. Going to play with
silocone this afternoon!

When all the silicone is dry, if ive done it right, if i put my hand over
the top of the snorkel, the engine should stall.

What if enough air can get in somewhere for it to run - As its on a 200tdi,
the heater matrix is in the way of the air intake in the wing so i cant get
to it. Heater out time?

How much water can go into a diesel engine before it dies. None? Im assuming
that rain and the like will be removed by the air filter unit?

The air filter will get it - and by the time the turbo has cooked it as
well it will be completely vapourised (I seem to recall reading that
injecting a bit of steam can into a diesel engine can be a Good Thing
under certain circumstances).

Water in the top end of an engine is Bad News - liquids cannot be
compressed so something has to give......

Trying to stop a diesel engine by putting your hand over the end of the
air intake might hurt.

Certainly bugger all. Without calculating it, I'd guess at << 8 mL per
cylinder.
