Modifiying a winch?

My warn winch came on my Landy and it has a lot of wire cable so much that if it's not all neatly wound up on the spool it hits the 2 cross brases that hold the winch together,

Is it just as simple as to make new ones that are raised up and raise my winch a inch or so to avoid this?

And how can you increase the line pull speed or do I have to by a 8274

you can fit a bowmotor 2 will give u more power

but for line speed and power the 8274 is great but even with a split charge n 2 batterys the 8274 needs feeding loads of power so im fitting a dual alternator setup

ditch the wire rope ther lethal imo

I'd love a 8274 I just carnt find one anywhere near Leeds and cash is tight at present, what sort of £££ Am I looking at fir a bow 2 motor?

As you know I want to do a challenge event o thought I'd have a practice at Rothwell pay and play I got though but think I've fried my winch isolator ( see other post) a guy with. 8274 did the same as me but in less than 1/4 of the time

bow2 is about £200-£220

8274 are good hence why all the challenge guys use them
 
What you reckon my xd9000 is worth to sell after I have replace the solinoid? Would proberbly sell my tubular bumper as well, Don't really want to spend £200 chasing 8274 performance and never getting it?

I'll be I touch how much you looking for for the mount,

If I could get 3-4 fir it it's gona be near as the same price for a 8274 as upgrading he motor
 
I'll let you know about the mount, need to sort a winch, all the ones on eBay are miles away, I'm coming as far. Birmingham on the 25th but there all a good hour past there,

I'll give he lad who I bought my diffs off a Ring as they build challenge trucks and buy and sell bits n he's only n hour from me.
