ML430 no break lights.

My '99 ML430's break light will not come on when the break petal is
depressed. The center light comes on. Break indicator on panel does
not come on to warn of the break light failure. Left and right lights
not on. Any clues?

Don't know how to change bulbs on it. I don't see anything that
resembles a removal point for the break lights so I can't check to see
if the bulbs are OK.
