Michelin say that these tyres are designed for high performance cars, but would they be Ok for a freelander 1 td4, almost exclusively low mileage legal speed road use. I can get a good set very cheap so am tempted.

would be ok, but the recommended tyre by michelin is the lattitude. have 4 on my freelander, they fine, no problems at all for road and green laning use.

one of the issues is sidewall strength.

as a guide, expect to pay less than £100 a corner for the lattitudes.

I was just searching for tyre threads - the previous owner fitted Kuhmos which have plenty of life in them but as the winter draws nearer would quite like something a bit more suited to inclement conditions - would you recommend the Lattitudes for such use?

Where I live we got hit quite hard last winter with the weather so want to be as prepared as possible.
