Memory Seats and key problem

Hello All!

This is my first post here, but I am not new to forums.

I have tried to search for the answer to my first question but I cannot find it.

I have recently purchased a 2002 l322 HSE TD6. The problem I have is that every time I unlock the car, the seat moves to a new position. I have programmed all 3 presets on the seat to my preferred position and done this with the key in the ignition and switched on. The problem is that every time I press unlock it moves.

So basically it is not changing the presets for the key?

I have read the manual, I have Googled it but I still cannot find an answer.

Please help.....

Depending on what is set in the BCU, I think there is a setting to move the seat all the way back on unlock to permit easier entry, then when you are in, you press a memory seat button of your choice.

There is also an option to move the seat to the corrosponding position depending on which key you use to unlock the car, but I believe these settings can be set in the BCU i.e. can be switched on or off depending on user choice or market served....

Put your location in your profile and there may be some one local with a Faultmate or similar who can check the BCU functions list for you.

Surely you don't expect to have an L322 where everything works? Be thankful it's not the SatNAv, DSP, EAS, ABS etc etc that have stopped working.

LOL I checked most things before I decided to buy it (at a good price) but this unfortunately is only the first question of many.
