It looks like 205/80/R16 setup gives maximum ride height on a freelander with standard suspension without rubbing, so no need for spacers using 205 wide tyres.
Add a Bearmach 2'' lift kit into the mix, and presumably the job is done in maximising the ride height to a safe level without it being unstable at speed. What do you guys think? Would it be wise to end there....
Or could we go even further by adding longer shocks/springs (Ironman springs: 1.5'' lift), on top of the Bearmach lift kit and monster 80 profile tyres to get even more ride height?
It would be great to have a Freelander with as much ground clearance as some of these from the rather exhaustative list I made below.
