So i fitted the manual inflation system from Thaw Park 4x4 via ebay yesterday took me 5 mins max to fit and thats me back up and running although i still have the matter of a leaking rear spring to change tomorrow i`m very impressed, i still get the "SLOW 35 MPH MAX" msg but thats nothing in comparison to having no transport.

I would recommend anyone who has air suspension to have this fitted because you never know when you could go into hard fault mode and trust me the bump stops are not cool, i guess if you like corsas slammed to the floor you would enjoy it otherwise invest in a manual inflation system today, for £70 plus p+p you`d be daft not to.

It taps into the air lines for each air spring allowing you to pump the springs up independently (with a standard foot / electric tyre pump). There are a few different systems around, but the one I've seen runs in parallel with the existing setup meaning you can inflate the springs if your EAS dies. If your springs don't leak and you don't care about varying the height all the time, you can run it like that permanently.

With a few wires and the right knowledge you can actually get the same effect using the existing system to manually inflate each corner with the on-board compressor, but it is a bit of a fiddle, and does require that the valve block and compressor are functional!

Too right Nick!

Anyhoo i just changed the rear spring that was leaking as this was the only day that wasnt raining well at least not until i started then it stopped when i was done typical!

I had about an hour or less out of the old spring when i pumped it up so its no wonder the system went into hard fault, pretty straight forward apart from the top of the spring not wanting to seperate from the chassis, eventually got there with a good bit of prying so i wont have to pump it up every day which is just as well because the little compressor burnt out!

any one know where theres a guide to that manual inflation without the kit thing you mentioned. by the way can a dodgy alt stop the suspension inflating???

depends what you mean by a guide, do you mean the instructions for it or how to make it yourself? if you want to make it yourself i`ll help you as best i can, should`nt be too hard.

not sure about the alternator if its not charging then theres probably not enough juice for the eas or anything electrical to work.

make it myself. im sure i saw i guide to it somewhere..cos ive got no eas faults comin up it just wont inflate...only fault comin up is alternator
