I've got hold of a 2.25 90" petrol inlet and exhaust manifold complete with (knackered?) carburettor.

Do the manifold swap over easily enough? Will I need a different down pipe?

I'm guessing the ports etc all line up fine.

I'm hoping that the DMTL carb that comes with it is salvageable. If not I'll get the inlet manifold ground to accept a DGAV I have on the shelf.

Has anyone else done this swap? I'm hoping that the jets for a 90" will work ok on my slightly tinkered 88" 2.25

Not sure how best to wire up the choke solenoid, is it an on/off afair or do I need a gradual drive to it?

down pipe is slightly bigger and uses m10 not m8 as securing bolts for down pipe flange plus here 2 types square and domed ends

Right I've got the manifolds but the DMTL that came with them is absolutely knackered. Looks like its been at the bottom of the sea for fifty years!

So, next question. What carb to get. I see replacement DMTLs are available but I'm not sure which is which and which would be most suitable starting point to put on a tinkered s3 engine.

Does anyone have information sheets for these they could scan or at least let me know what the differences are between the different DMTL carbs that are available?

I'd be very grateful for any info going: What I've found by poking around so far is:

2.5L Petrol not European detox ETC5305
2.5L Petrol European detox ETC5306
2.5L Petrol to engine 17H08822C ETC6350
2.5L Petrol from engine 17H08822C ETC7144

I think the first two should be 2.25L Anyone know what the difference is between detox and non-detox - I'd like whatever is easiest to plumb in then I can mess with the jets later....

Cheers
