M&S fault

Hi guys, I've got a disco 2 04 with the m&s fault flashing on the dash board, a this the xy switch as I have a slow puncture on my rear suspension bag and I'm wondering does the ms fault show for everything with a fault or just certain things? Thanks

My own experience was the M&S was so intermittent is was questionable as to f it was the XYZ
I done an oil and filter change on the box, it's not solved it totally but it is so intermittent now I haven't troubled it.

Place selector onto neutral before starting if it's banging past reverse on the way to drive, it's a get out clause on mine.

Lists all the symptoms, i.e. flashing m+s lights , what about instrument panel and central console lights, limp home mode, is it all the time or if you switch off and back on again does it go away, does it come on when you switch on and select r or d or does it happen when driving.
The easiest way to find out is to have fault codes read.
Do not be talked into buying a new xyz switch even if fault codes indicates this is at fault as there are other problems that can cause this fault that need to be investigated first.

Didn't know Marks and Spencer sold bits for Land rovers.
