LT77 reverse light switch...two types?

One of the wires has pulled out of the body of my reverse light switch, which is the PRC8204 type. I'm guessing it probably can't be repaired and I need a new one, however the PRC8204 is vastly more expensive than the PRC2911 variant.

Are they interchangeable at all, perhaps with the aid of a nut to get the distance into the box right? And if so, what's the thread?

PRC8204 is the one you need if you have the lt77
they aint cheap

you can use prc2911 and adjust it using the nut,some used to wind prc2911 too far in and so hinder full selection of reverse gear causing the idler gear teeth to fail prematurely

If you use the adjustable type, wind it in with reverse gear selected to avoid the above ^^.
