My 90 has arrived! =D

There's a lap belt with the cubby- is it legal to use to seat a third person in the front?

Would it be possible to fit a proper third seat in the middle?

Thanks :)

Not legal to sit on cubby, it is not a properly constructed seat!

Easy to fit a centre seat, you just have to get one. Cubby is more useful, the seats are only any good for one legged midgets! :D

I do wonder if installing a backrest of some sort would enable the cubby box to be a 'properly constructed seat' for occasional use. I've sat on mine before while tinkering and it seems it would result in a bit more space available with the middle passenger sitting higher up than the others. There's then room for your feet between the gearbox tunnel and the handbrake (and the corresponding space on the passenger side). Three seats and you still would keep the storage.

dont... just dont

would you seriously put a child in this sort of thing?

An adult who can make up their own mind if they want to die in a crash perhaps, but the drive would still be liable as well and could be prosecuted.

Its a daft idea and one that should be put to bed im afraid

have you tried driving with someone sat in the middle seat!? my sons words were, watch where your putting that gearstick!! it's really quite difficult to not clobber said passenger with the stick! :D

The middle seat is pointless, cubby is the way ahead, the tray was not much use but I don't see them now.

No, I would never use it for a child to sit on.

There would be very little room, it's true, and I do like the cubby... so probably will have to put the husband in the back :)
