West wing I think
Morning all. This may seem trivial but after my recent experiences with air locks and the like, I'm totally paranoid about the cooling system. My R Rvr is a post 99y-2002 p38. The comic says that the temp guage needle is at 12 o clock for normal running conditions. There's a blue chunk at the lower end [10 to ish] then a white line just to its right. There are no9 calibration graphics between that and 10 past, the boil up red light on position. I tend to be running about the white line mark and slightly above it under load and the A/C on full. I've had the stat out and it's slow to open [10 to 20 seconds] in boiling water and closes rapidly in cold. Any comments, apart from grammer corrections, misquotes, spelling corrections, ban threats,:) would be welcomed. regards P.S

i don't know if this is of any use, my gauge, the needle or in fact the left hand edge of the needle is inline with the right hand edge of the middle calibration. it never really moves from that spot!

That is a help, thanks. When I stop mid journey the needle creeps up after restarting to about 5 to and then settles back down to the white line I mention. I've done a few hundred miles, now, since the O ring replace and A/C scare and nothing's amiss. It seems that my motor runs like that. I'll change the thermostat at the next service in June as a belt and braces thing. Thanks again. P.S 4 cars-no kids. Could it be that the 1xwife would say 4xcars &1xhusband/kid?:) :) regs P.S
