Low keyfob signal

Just managed to get a Range Rover 2.5 Bordeaux 2001 everything is fine on it, except I have to stand by the rear door for the fob to work. I have put two new batteries in the fob but no different. What do you reckon.

It has had the RF receiver's aerial lead disconnected to sto pthe battery being drained by spurious wake-ups from stuff on the 433Mhz band.
Pay a lot to get the updated better band-pass receiver and reconnect the aerial lead ...or live with it.

Two fob trick is an extra remote relay to switch the rf receiver on and off with a second fob on your keyring.
