As most of you know, well the regulars anyway, I'm a fully trained landy tech......................

very soon, I will be starting up on my own so if anyone in south wales (cardiff/newport area) wants their freelander looked at/serviced or whatever, feel free to pm me.

Top quality work at a fraction of the price of a main dealer :)

For now mate yes as they're very popular and there's millions of 'em round here and with regards to servicing, I can slash the main dealer price by about 60%, still use genuine parts and make a few quid, so, customer happy cos he's getting the same as a main dealer (well better actually as I don't bull****) at a fraction of the cost and I'm happy cos I'm earning more than £8.10 an hour for working my nuts off.

For now, I'll be doing a home service type of thing, ring me, I come out, fix ya motor and you don't have to lift a finger (exept to ring me obvioulsy!!).

and yu got a job fur life;)

Yeah, before I moved to wales, I had loads of my own customers and was real busy every weekend, noone had any gripes with my work and always came back for more.

The problem with main dealers is they're too bloody expensive, too many middle men so there's always a communication breakdown, customer is always ****ed off 'cos they're car isn't done because of this..........parts not ordered, wrong parts ordered, workshop controller not doing his job properly so a car thats going out at 12 doesn't get looked at till 11, stuff like that, it all creates unnecesary stress for me and the customer.

I would be better off on my own as theres noone to answer to, I have direct contact with the customer so I know what has to be done rather than go through 2 people by which time noone knows whats happening. Maybe its just where I work, but noone seems to be able to relay information accurately.

Good luck with the new workshop.

Beneficial to both parties.... customer gets good service while you get the perks of your own setup.
