2001 td5 manual gearbox.

When i hit 55 mph i get a loud reverberation from the what i think is the middle or rear of the landy.

If I accelerate past 55mph the sound dies a bit as i go up to 60 or 65mph. When i leave off the throttle the noise comes back as the engine decelerates and the sound disappears again when i hit 55mph.

The sound is still there when doing 70mph and I shift it into neutral so its not the gear box i presume.

Where should i start??

Wheel bearings?

well as you said the truck its is more than likely the daf in the middle lane but if you talking about the disco try the prop shafts could be wear ther as speed related like unbalanced wheels

Very funny, I edited it out.

Can't really decipher what you are trying to say, try some punctuation.

'Well as you called it a truck it's more than likely the DAF in the middle lane. If your talking about the discovery try inspecting the propshafts as they could be worn and they are speed related just like unbalanced wheels.'

Basically check the UJs on your propshafts as they could be worn... Get a grease gun and give them a grease up to and see if that settles the noise.

If not, then i'd start checking wheel bearings.
