Loud grinding when accelerating/letting off around 50mph

Hope someone's had this before, I have a loud grinding sound coming from under the landy when I let off the throttle or accelerate doing around 50mph+. The harder I accelerate/let off the louder the sound. It also keeps grinding if I put it in neutral and coast to a stop. There's a link to a video with the exact same sound that I found on a different thread but that thread was never finished. I'm hoping it's just a worn UJ but if anyone has any experience with this I'd be grateful to hear how it was sorted!

Have you checked the prop u/js? takes as long as it did to upload that vid to the net.

I’ve not taken them off yet, had a quick look and there is a little bit of play but just trying to find out if anyone else has had the same issue so I can look in the right places before taking it all apart

Also best to point out, the linked video isn’t my own. I came across it in a thread from a few years ago but mine makes the exact same sound under the same conditions

If you have visible play, then they are shagged.

If the rear slider section is worn that can also make a terrible noise on the over run.

My advice would be if you can afford it is, get new props especially if the slider is worn.

Thanks! I’ll take a look there first of all then. Sounds about right if I’m honest
