Lost all drive

I am a new member and relatively new to my Defender TD5. Driving at a steady 50mph when the revs suddenly shot up, lost drive, selected all gears including high and low ratio, no drive, no bang no grinding or crunching. I have discovered since I do have drive when in diff lock mode. I would be greatfull of any idears please

you've snapped an half shaft Do a search of the forum for the solution

when it s not in diff lock see which prop is spinning problem will be that axle could be drive flange ,cv ,diff etc
