My 99 freelander 1.8 petrol has developed a problem when it become hot it starts losing power but doesnt cut out. After allowing it to cool down it will be ok but will start doing it again soon. There is no loss of coolant but the engine does seem to be getting really hot however the temperature gauge is only at it normal level. Can anybody help and point me in the right direction as there are so many possible causes.
