Lose oil cap?

I have a 87 2.5 tdi. I was giving it a once over check and noticed my oil cap seams to be lose. There is very little if no risistance when I lift it of. Seams like if it wasn't for the breather hoses it may fall of. Is this coman or should I replace ASAP

sealing ring harden & compress - fit a new sealing ring (yu might haveto make one)

Or replace the cap

Where are you?

Do you have a good indi nearby who can let you have a replacement seal for less than a couple of quid?

They are cheap and easy to replace.
