As the title suggest, I'm looking into getting a Discovery 2 Landmark Edition. Is there any common fault to look out for?? I've been trawling through Internet and autotrader, and one keeps jumping out at me, it's a "04" D2 Landmark, based as a dealers in Cheshire. Soo any advice would be greatly appreciated 😃😃

The biggest single problem with Discovery II is the rear end chassis rust, really serious.
You need to establish condition of this very carefully as it's expensive to repair.

As said rear chassis, sunroof leaks, heated seats the usual stuff
I just bought a Landmark on a 04 plate and its fantastic to drive. I got right under mine with a torch and the chassis is fine, one of the roofs leak though but only when parked on a slope? on the flat its fine but it will need attention.
Check everything works, the woman I got mine from has had it from new and her kids could never open the rear sunroof for the past 4 years but it worked ok from the front she pointed this out to me, so I showed her the isolator switch and then it worked
Think I got mine at a good price £5800 one owner from new 91,000 on the clock and a very comprehensive service history and 4 new tyres on it.
Buy the right one and you wont regret it.

The one I've seen advertised it at £5495, 110k miles and its on a dealer forecourt, have been watching it on his website for a few weeks and he has dropped it by £500 already soo might take lower. As I said, my mum has an earlier model, has the sunroof problem, and hers is in garage for rear chassis. Gonna get me a small LED torch on a stick at weekend. And maybe pack a blanket when I go looking lol

Go to a local charity shop and buy a big thick coat, if needed it can stay in the car as a winter emergency coat ...
