Lockable Glove Box

Does anyone know if its possible to replace/modify the glovebox catch to be lockable? I have a 3 door hard back and would like somewhere secure to put sunglasses etc with the roof removed.

i must admit its somthing i cannot understand why they never fitted , even crappy old escorts have locking gloveboxes. i have linked mine to the alarm and got hold of another pin switch for the one on the drivers side, so at least there alarmed... bit late tho if they get in.

I wonder if any of the the other rover range fit?

Aint that what the boot locker is for. Personally I wouldnt leave anything in there. You could open it with a screwdriver

The boot locker is good, but its not a very convenient place to keep my sunglasses

I was hoping that some models did come with locking glove boxes, but it looks like they don't, how weird.
