well I seem to me accumulating lots of noises from mainly the rear of the landy, its a defender 90, the two that concern me the most are when I brake it realy clunks and knocks somewhere at the back (or sounds like the rear) and the other is going over bumps etc it sounds like the body is coming up from chassis! I do have a couple of bushes that need replacing at the rear (cant remember what they are called, two arms that go from rear towards front) could they be the culprits? also got a leaking diff which is hopefully just a seal.

cheers

mandy

ps I also think it vibrates far too much on tickover, could my engine mounts be loose or such like?

a frame in front of rear axle, the point attached to the diff area by a ball joint.

Get some radius arms that fit correctly, change the bushes that you know need changing then can eliminate what it is and isn't.

you got any kicking around? what size are they again that i need, more concerned about my leaks than them though lol those radius arms been on landy all time :)

Have you checked prop uj's? Banging in the back of a 90? You must be pikeys height :pound:

Lol I do have a uj that does need replacing that's probs part of the problem, also when driving home yesterday it felt a bit weird on the back end when a turned into a road, I pushed back wheel with my foot (like you do lol) n it clunked n moved slightly!! So it's off to the garage tomorrow cos I'm using it everyday can't run the risk of a serious failure of something !!! Not saying it'll get fixed as funds are rather **** at the moment lol

I would replace the UJ as soon as you can as I left mine for too long and now the diff is fooked because of the excessive vibrations

if you have a wheel with play in it and a poor uj you shouldnt be driving it on the road till its fixed
