Hey Guys and Girls

Lets have a little bit of fun here.
Even our American/Canadian/Europeans can join this one

Who has the largest engine ? (No lying now to make you look big)

Charlotte

Oh I have a tiny Range Rover 3.5 on an Autobox

PAH! You feel inadequate, I've only the standard 2 1/4 & I haven't even the benefit of an injection!

Charlotte, have you ANY idea what you may have started, piston envy, it's a TERRIBLE thing!

Hi all,
Mine's only a 2.5 200Tdi but at least I still have some money left in my pocket after filling it up!:D Had two Range Rovers 3.5 V8 and no money:( Ah, the good old days when petrol was only 72p a litre???????????

God damn ... that sounds as mad as a box of mad things ... in the midday sun ...

Bet its crap to the gallon eh?...piston envy ... its a terrible thing...

lol, as I mentioned in my introductory post, bearing in mind mines only a 2.0 thats not exactly good economy either ;)

And if you REALLY toe it, I've managed to empty the 55 litre tank (completely empty, I managed to fit in 53 litres ) in 65 miles...

That was going some though, on a track day :p

So as long as the Disco gets better economy than that, I'll take my meagre 2.5TDi :p

Besides, done the fast car thing :p (actually, I should change that to Quick car, as I want in no way to be associated with that or any other boy racer mag :p Apart from Car and Car Conversions, that was good. And Practical Performance Car is quite good too.)

A measly 2.5 for my LR.
This all reminds me of an article I read in a mag recently (can't remember which one, though) about a chap in the states who challenged his mates (buddies?) to count up all the (engine) cylinders they owned to see who had the most. You could count anything that was powered by an internal combustion engine, so lawnmowers and the like were all included. This apparently caused some of their wives to cotton-on and suggest they buy themselves the latest 4-cylinder Buick washing machines, he he.
So, my count is 16 (that's a LR, Unimog, 3 motorbikes and a remote-controlled aeroplane :p ) my lawnmower's electric so I can't count that one. I'm sure that'll get beaten soon.

lets see... maserati 6..jag 6, bmw 6, escort 4, landy 4 ,3 r/c cars two strimmers a chainsaw, spare masser engine 6 , two mowers and if piston broke counts then thats another on a saturday night
i make that 40 but i probelly forgot something
slob
i forgot me twin cylinder compressor thats brings it up to 42

Rangie with 7.4 lt, 16 cylinders... Only that half of that is on the shed's floor right now.

Got another 5lt and 8 cylinders diesel in two Defenders in my garden.

Am looking for a way to lay my hands on a 2.8 diesel from International Brazil, that will fit into my next project... Even with petrol at 25p per liter, the V8 bites! And the TDI has just not enough Ooomph for my taste...

When I had my Overfinch Discovery, that was powered by a 5.7 litre Chevvy.

The 0-60 time was awesome!!!! Had any boy racer off the lights:p

However, I never did find out how much the fuel tank held. The fuel pump at the garage would cut out at its 100 litres before it ever filled up fully.

I reackon it did around 16 to the gallon driving sensibly and dropped well into single figures when it was time to play! The handling on this thing was amazing! I just got fed up with fixing the damn thing all the time!
