Let's all have a disco

Morning,

first post... am thinking of buying a disco, could I ask for your help and advise pls.

43 yrs old, live at the bottom of a big hill, with wife, 2 little girls and a rather large dog. elderly mother lives at the top of the hill.

currently drive merc c class estate, but need more seats, more room for kids seats, for prams, for mother and for the dog.

so, am thinking about a disco 4 XS or HSE, 2010/11 reg.

have seen two, both around 85/90k, both autos, realise they need a cam change shortly. one has a gear stick, the other doesn't. am I right in thinking the one without the stick is an 'facelift' car? when did it change?

also, any things I should look out for when I'm looking over the cars.

I know nowt about D4's but it good to see somebody who's done some research first.

Are you aware that to change the cam belt on a D4 the body has to be lifted off?

Perfectly possible to change rear bel twith mirrors and a lot of patience! No need to take body off unless you are a main dealer looking to charge big labour bills.
