Hello,

In the seam where the fuel pipe passes through its locking nut (see circle 7), there is some diesel if the pipe is wiggled. Does this mean that it is leaking at this joint very slightly, and thus letting air in which could be restricting engine power? All nuts are tight.

p.s. ignore oil all over the place - this is long before the rebuild!

Thanks!

if fuel is getting out it's likely that air could be getting in - you might just have a flat spot on the olive but replacing that semi-rigid pipe (complete with new olive) isnt going to cost much

is the olive the bit in between? Might dissaseble it and then file it off, put a bit of gobo on and then tighten it all up. There's no diesel actually come up and out of the top of the nut, but there's definitely some fluid there when I wiggle the pipe about (and you can see down the side of the pipe)

it might just be condensate - you'll get nowhere putting a file to an olive, you might try a little ptfe tape as a temp fix

looks like its only a fuel return pipe anyways. I've undone it all and re-tightened it back up. Not too fussed now!
