Being the oil burner the engine is fine but what is attached is doing its best. Leaking from the headlining above the rear quarter. I am thinking the roof gutter channels. How is that black stuff attached?

damn. Cannot seem to attach photos from my phone. Weird.

Drill another hole to let it out?
Just seal it up so that whatever hole is letting the water is sealed? Then put a heater inside to dry headlining. When able get it under cover take sealant off, take trim off and look for ingress point?
Not knowing the area affected I was just throwing an idea out there. :)

If its pouring in, then just run a hose over it starting at the lowest point and work your way up along until it starts to come in. Should help track the entry point.

It'll be OK for a week. The rain here is horizontal anyway so not a lot is going in. The sealant will just make mess. Besides, it is 10 miles to the nearest place that might sell any!

I am determined to do nothing this week except walk, eat cream teas, full english breakfasts and fish & chips and drink.

Thinking about it, I have had the corner trims off on that side, the ones between the quarter light and the tailgate. Trying to remember what was under there.

Sounds like the exact solution needed. When in doubt eat :)

I popped into the St. Austell brewery yesterday to discover they were shut for a function. I said I'd just driven 300 miles for a pint! They took me in, gave me a free cup of tea and a quick overview of the place and flogged me somes cases of beer to take away. Really nice friendly lot with classic Cornish accents.
