Hello,
My other half is a Landy obsessive, and I'm planning on proposing to him. I want a ring that means something, so I thought it would be amazing to take a nut from his favourite landy (and replace, obviously...) and then lathe it down to be suitable for a wedding ring.
Unfortunately I have no idea about the inner workings of a landy, so can anyone point me in the right direction to find the biggest nut that I might find that could fit on a mans finger?
Thanks!
Tom

The biggest nut on a Landrover is often the one behind the wheel. ;)

wait a sec, what landy is it?
We've got 2. Now I was about to do my usual when someone asks me what we have and be "We have a blue one, and a grey one", but I'm guessing that doesn't help much.
They are both 90's, one is older and Jeremy's modified that one a fair bit. I think this would be the best to get a part from.
The other is one of the limited edition ones that came out last year. Probably won't want to tinker with that one though... My life wouldn't be worth living if I bugger it up.

Wait... a 90 from last year? a heritage 90?

this? https://www.topgear.com/car-news/classic/six-reasons-you-need-defender-heritage-edition#1

They're pretty expensive, i would avoid ****ing with that one haha. Though wasn't aware of them being in any colour except the old school green
I would go with the one he's modified the most, i would assume that would be the labour of love.

Oh no not that one. Maybe from the year before? It was one of the Adventure ones. Still not going to **** with it though.
