Hi Just joined today, my name is Terry i live in East Sussex near Battle. I have just retreved a 1991 110 Defender County V8 Station Wagon out of a hedgerow, where its been sitting since 2006 is cost me 10 pints left behind the bar at the local pub it a two owner car and complete except the last owner has removed the Carbs ( HIF44 ). This will be the first job i need to sort and will need a bit of help.

Well for 10 pints it’s a good deal.
Now are you actually prepared for what the real cost will be?
Can we get some pics? Cos we like to see new loves.
Plenty of help available in the defender section or is it a one ten? Don’t matter help is around.

Engines, gearboxes axles or anything else will be no problem i was a heavy plant fitter for 40 years but admit never worked on Land rovers the nearest would be 79 To 85 Toyota FJ and BJ 40s, Jeeps and merc |G wagons. Will do some pics as sone asi can

Sounds like you had the better deal! I had a 90 V8 CSW which was the one Landy I regretted selling (and still do!)

Don’t forget to post some pics and let us know how you get on with it. There’s lots of help and advice on here.

Thanks for that, missing bits is a real pain when doing a restoration when you dont know what the bits look like

Know what you mean I had a 1988 V8 3.5 csw once. Great fun but had to out of family circumstances
