Well, I Guess its not much of a problem for you guy's!
Situation is, I dont really have a garage, other than to store tools in. Ive got all the "mechanical tools" (inc compressor and air tools, but NO welder, or much welding skill)
My series landy have rotten footwells (both sides need complete replacement) and the top corners are iffy too. I have been told that it can be repaired in situe, but id prefer to take it out, have a proper look, and possible take it to a specialist to have it repair professionally, as i want it to look neat, and not have crap welding (mine!) all over it.
Problem is, theres a great guy near me, who specializes in bulkhead welding, but he quotes around £500 to repair it!! seems really expensive to me, and I have hardly any budget, (about £300-£400 at a push, to do the whole job) But I would happily pay £200 to repair, ill take it out, and take it too them, so its only the cutting out/welding that would need to be payed for.
Does anybody know anybody around Norfolk, that I can take the bulkhead too?
I guess replacing the bulkhead with an ebay one, might be an idea.
Sorry for the long post, just dont have a clue what to do next!
Thanks,
Biosbill
