i have just done the head gasket on a td 5, when i was taking it apart i noticed there is a coolant pipe part steel part flexi hose running from the oil filter housing around the back of the engine then forwards to the bottom of the radiator, connecting to the rad just below the bottom hose, as it changed from steel to flexi half way down the side of the engine i thought this would be the best place to drain the water from, so i took the flexi off the steel and water came out from the engine side but nothing came out from the rad. i removed the rad thinking there was a blockage, but to my suprise there is no hole into the rad core,my question is should there be or not, i have asked several local garages and no one seems to know, also no parts suppliers have a rad in stock to look at, can someone help please. apparently this vehicle had a new rad fitted some time ago
