Land Rover Parts

Having received lots of good advice to not use a particular company, I have decided to rebuild my engine myself. When I say I, I actually mean that a friend of mine is doing the rebuilding. He has workshops and all the machinery necessary for skimming and honing etc.
I am now looking around for good quality, yet competitively priced parts (piston assemblies, bearing etc.) I have heard about inferior quality imported parts that can cause further problems, does anybody know of any good suppliers of parts preferably in the Essex area or surrounding counties if possible?
