hi there i bought recently a land rover discovery 200tdi i love it it drives lovely and is really comfortable the thing is yesterday the gears went very sloppy in all directions left to right and back and forth so i too the centre console out and removed the top of the transmision what i noticed is the bush in the top that the bottom of the gear lever sits in is it meant to be just a plastic ring with nothing in the centre? it seems to me that there should maybe be a ball or somthing of that sort for the point of the bottom of the gear stick to sit in? I can still select all gears but its not very nice hope someone out there can help i think this maybe the part number FRC9985 but if anyone can explain what its like? many thanks jim
