Hi all,

Looking for some previous experiences/tips on changing out the DR fluid on the L494 platform. I have a 2017 Sport Autobiography. I see in the maintenance manual it calls for replacing the reservoir at 80k miles, and I’ve seen a few people doing different things in YouTube and forums... My question is do I really need to replace it and try to flush the entire system per OEM procedures or can I DIY pump out old fluid and put new fluid in a few times to flush it to a cleaner level and be on my way with not much risk? Also is there a filter cartridge somewhere ? I know there is on other models. But can’t seem to find it in mine and I’m not seeing a lot of good info on internet searches for this model.

Thanks,
Ben

Update: I discovered the filter is integral to the reservoir, hence the need for replacement in the maintenance manual. Going that route and then plan on flushing with new fluid a few times to remove impurities.
