Good Afternoon, i have finally given in with my p38 and now bought my self a TD6 L322 ☺. My P38 used to go flat all the time as i rarely used it and after reading several threads on here about flat batteries on 322's thought id fit a trickle charger to the new one.
I have done it today, fitted the wiring and made the connections (hiden the plug in the grill).
My question is about where i have put the battery connections. The live i have put on the live bolt that passes through the plastic bulkhead by the battery and the negative i have put on the neg bolt where the battery lead bolts to the chasis.
Is this right? I havent put them direct to the battery as i read something about a circuitboard on the battery connections??? and not to jump start directly to the battery.
Anyway cheers for the help as always.

Morning Alan, I had a mini cctv DVR and camera set up in mine with the solar charger to catch the **** from over the road keying up my car. my battery was still ok after a week of not using it, but only just i would say in winter.

Hope u caught them on the CCTV, i had a solar panel in the P38 but it didnt do anything, i suspect id have needed one the size of the roof to keep the battery fully charged.
So i could have gone direct to the battery then, i just wasnt sure because of what i read about jump starting & circuitboards.

Maintenance charger doesn't put a great amperage in, just keeps a charged battery topped up.

Did you catch the scum ?
I caught him as best i could, i knew it was him anyway but i looked at it as an opportunity to practice my painting skills and i thought he must be in a pretty bad place if he takes pleasure from damaging somebody else's property and you could guarantee if i did anything back i would end up in the **** and besides the prick has moved out now anyway. he was such a mouthy **** somebody will knock his face down his throat one day. Not bad video for night time though, i'll post a link to it when i get it working.
I was playing a little pysops on him anyway by repairing it right next to his car and making over friendly conversation with him when he was trying to ignore me

Cannot open the link, hope you covered his car with overspray.:D:D:D

I'm sure he will upset the wrong person one day, I was pleased with the job I did repairing it and it got me another 3 possibly 4 jobs repairing my neighbours cars which I enjoyed / will enjoy doing.
Cost me around £2k in the end putting up CCTV around my house , in the car, consulting a solicitor and repairing the door, but there you go, survival of the unfittest strikes again.

Sorry OP, hijacked another thread...........
