The saga of my recent bargain basement 60 reg TDV8 4.4 Vogue continues. My local garage has changed the oil cooler, fitted a couple of new pipes and changed the thermostat as requested. The clip all the pipes back on and found the housing cracked. so they replace the stat housing as well. Another test and find the pipe adaptor is leaking as well. There's 2 O rings inside that need replacing but as usual they are not available as spares and the replacement pipework is coming out at about £500! The whole pipe part number is LR022661 and 8286, see diagram attached. The O rings go into the adaptor, photo attached. Any idea what we can use as a replacement or where I can get them from? Otherwise hop the local breakers have a 4.4 in for spares! Apparently my garage can get the parts for the Sport, but they are a different size to the Vogue.
He had a good look over the car and reckons I got a bargain there as there's no signs of rust in the usual places, worth spending a bit on to get it right.
