My TD6 has done pretty well over the past 4 years, giving me little trouble and having now covered over 90K miles.

However, within the last 2 weeks the Gearbox packed up at a cost of £4K, then suspected fuel pump for which the AA came out this morning, while the AA guy was trying to get the car going (before they towed it away!) the message 'HDC INACTIVE' has decided to start flashing up, I suspect it means Hill Descent Control Inactive, has anyone come across this before??

I'm beginning to think the best thing to get this car going now, would be a can of petrol and a box of matches!!! Thanks (A frustrated and getting poorer, TD6 Dave).

As said , I'd go for low battery voltage , mine says that if I leave it for a week without use . Short run , park up and get back in and it doesn't do it any more ! I wouldn't worry about it .
