Hi all, so I’ve acquired a non starter 3.0 L322 and I’m desperately trying to get It going. Here’s where I’m at, I’ve tested to see if there’s fuel going to the engine, which there is, the engine cranks but won’t start and when using quick start it very briefly ticks over for a split second.

I am not getting any codes (apart from low battery,.. I’ve ordered a new one) I briefly got a code regarding things “lost from can” but after charging the battery those codes went missing. I tried to use my code reader to test the ECU but all I get is “link error” when I click on that item on the reader. I get one error on the screen which is “HDC fault, system not available”

Any help, next step advice etc etc would be amazing, I’d really love to have this car going for the summer. Thanks a lot in advance!!

They never do, may have been sat in the stock room for some time. A 24 hour charge with a 4 amp smart charger is usually needed to bring the battery up to a fully charged state.
Depends on the battery and the retailer i think. Some sit on the shelf, some are back out the next day.
Either way you don't know until you charge it yourself

Hey all.. UPDATE, so battery arrived and I trickle charged to full, fitted to the car and sadly, nothing changed, a couple of codes popped up including U0401 (invalid data received from engine control module/powertrain control module) and U0402 (invalaid data received from transmission control module) :.. we also found that when I clicked on the engine on the coder to scan it , it said “link error” … I checked and cleaned a couple of the ground points just Incase and but no improvement … I’m thinking a ECU REPAIR , or transfer to a new ECU? Would that be the next step?? Something to also mention is that the steering wheel lock has never come on, seems to be permanently off… anything to worry about? Thanks!
